The Word of God, literally, became the foundation of Dayna's faith. Shortly after receiving her first Bible, she went to a Christian bookstore and brought a Nelson Study Bible~King James Version, a Bible dictionary, a Vine's New Testament Expository, and a Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. She had questions, and she believed God had answers. If she was going through a tough time, she researched everthing in the Bible on that topic. If she needed direction, she went to the Bible for guidance.
Easter of 1999, twelve years after consuming the Word of God on her own, Dayna joined Mt. Carmel Church of God in Christ, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She served as a member of the choir, outreach committee, youth department, and women's Christian council. She also taught the children's Wednesday night Bible study class, created the Mt. Carmel Chronicle and headed the newsletter committee. But of all of these activities, Dayna most enjoyed the adult Wednesday night Bible study classes and Friday night prayer services.
Spring of 2007, Dayna was helping District Missionary, Mother Lenore Meeks of Mt. Carmel, with an annual women's day program, and she was looking to give the ladies something tangible to take home with them to remind them of the theme, which was "love". A friend, Crystal Smith-Miller of Harrisburg, PA, suggested that Dayna record a meditation CD about love. She thought it was such a good idea that she recorded not one, but two CDs.
When Dayna first heard "A Song for Healing, Your Personal Meditation", her first recording, she knew it was blessed by God. It ministered to her as if someone else produced and recorded it. She realized that this was not something she did, but rather something God did through her. Dayna went on to give away more than 100 copies of the healing CD, and soon people were requesting more and asking her to record other CDs on various topics. By December of 2007, Meditate on the Word CD Ministry was born, and Dayna produced and recorded a total of seven CDs.
May of 2008, Dayna completed a minister of Evangelism Program at Full Gospel Bible Institute, and she is currently the process of Ordination through Full Gospel Assemblies International. Dayna works as a Chaplain at Atlanta Medical Center, through Care and Counseling Center of GA's Chaplaincy Program. Dayna continues to produce Christian Meditation CDs, and run Meditate on the Word ministry.
